Our city has made great strides in the past few years. We are exceeding all goal expectations. San Pablos professional city staff and our pro-active police department are the best around, we attract great people. Your decisions in electing hard-working, far-sighted, strong leadership to the city council made the difference. I am seeking re-election to continue my contribution to the momentum we have established, and to accomplish much more in the coming years, with projects such as a new community center for use by everyone. Some of my personal accomplishments over the past 4 years include convincing the West Contra Costa Unified School District to build a new Walter T. Helms Middle School, instead of refurbishing the old one; keeping the district focused on what was promised to San Pablo from the bond measure funds, with the result that the remainder of the 6 district schools in our city will be refurbished like new; I serve on the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee that now oversees over a $1billion of these bond funds; I asked for and received longer library hours paid for by the city; I secured funding from the city for San Pablo baseball; raised $10,000 to pay for a new police canine and attracted the Monte Vista Senior Housing to San Pablo. Your vote for my re-election is a vote for the safety, security and comfort of ALL of San Pablo residents. I am especially committed to kids and seniors.
